An artistic showcase of the finest things I consumed in June across the fashion, film, and music industries.
Hello, loggers!
I trust you are all doing well and staying safe.
Happy 4th of July to our American friends, and a warm welcome to the second half of 2025 for everyone!
This month, we have so much to unpack especially from the fashion world, but I promise to keep it brief with only my top musings.
Fashion week is still going strong and was at its peak in June if I do say so myself, showcasing the final Resort 2026 and Fall/Winter 2025 collections, alongside the vibrant Spring/Summer 2026 Menswear lines.
Summer also brought a wave of festivals and concerts, from Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour to Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s GNX tour, Rema’s world tour, Ayra Starr’s Sabi Summer, and Davido’s recent 5ive Alive tour, among others.
I didn’t catch many films this June, but I stayed loyal to one of my favorite Nigerian production companies, Nemsia Studios. Their Prime Video run has been stellar, and I watched their latest horror movie, Ms. Kanyin, featuring Temi Otedola and Natse Jemide in their third films since coming on the scene, Aduke Shitta-Bey for her debut, Toluwani George, Kanaga Eme Jr, Damilola Bolarinde, and much familiar faces like Michelle Dede, Ademola Adedoyin, Kalu Ikeagwu, Keppy Ekpenyong, and more.
Let's get cracking…

#3: Style Obsession
My style vibe for June was rather two-faced, as seen in the collage below, and stems from the fact that I consumed (and am still consuming) so much summer content while battling daily rainfall and putting on double layers of clothing against my will. I’m in a hurry to meet you, word to September.
The SS26 menswear season has been phenomenal, arguably stealing the spotlight, even with haute couture still on the horizon. The creative directors showed out heavily with collections that I’d describe as refreshing, thrilling, extremely wearable, colorful, practical, and incredibly stylish. I also fell in love with the bulk of the brands’ stylistic choices and the set designs for a few shows. I felt as though I was at a virtual masterclass because of the flawless degree of inventiveness that was presented, and I will be dreaming of this menswear season for a while.
My favorites will begin with JW Anderson’s debut at the Dior house of course. I’d been rooting for his creative vision since the announcement, and he did not disappoint—honestly, it was a given. I’ll dive deeper into Dior Homme SS26 in a future log, so stay tuned. Other standout menswear collections that made my list, in no particular order, include Dolce & Gabbana, Fen Chen Wang, Dries Van Noten, Issey Miyake, KidSuper, Amiri, Sacai, Hermès, Emporio Armani, Egonlab, Prada, Wales Bonner, Willy Chavarria, Lemaire, Saint Laurent, 3.Paradis, Jacquemus, Balmain, and Zegna.
